Stirling School Children by Medieval Bridge

Three school children stand near a medieval bridge over the River Forth in the town of Stirling, Scotland. In the conquest and defense of Scotland, there is no location more important than Stirling where Wallace (Braveheart) and Andrew Murray made their successful stand against the invading English in 1297 in the Battle of Stirling Bridge. The original wooden bridge where the battle took place is said to have been near the current bridge. The Wallace Memorial and Stirling Castle are also near this site.
