Baobab Tree

Posted by

Our safari vehicle is parked under a majestic Baobab tree near Lower Zambezi National Park. These trees are actually succulents that can live 5,000 years. It is known as "The Tree of Life" because all parts of it are useful. Its bark is used to make clothing and rope. Its leaves store water and are edible. Its seed is used in cosmetics. Its fruit is edible and nutrient rich.
