The Lowry Avenue Bridge is a steel tied-arch bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota, completed in October 2012. We went to the bridge during the day to try to find a good location to shoot it from at sunrise. We discovered a small park adjacent to the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization office designed as a rain garden. It had a zig zag path leading down to the water with benches, water fountains and native flowers. The bridge is generally illuminated blue but can be illuminated in other colors on holidays.
