"Old School Ink," an exhibit on tattoo art in New Haven, opened at the New Haven Museum yesterday. It was part of a free "Museum Day Live" sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine. Needless to say, visitors at the opening were a very different crowd than one sees at most art exhibit openings. On hand was a New Haven photographer, Corey Jay Hudson, with a studio set-up taking photos of visitors' tattoos for anyone who wished to pose for him. I took advantage of this to shoot a few of my own in his set-up. It was a really fun day at this lovely local museum.
